All
artists will be working in the Pine Grove area for 13 days. On Sunday November 30th there will be an Open Day to which the public will be invited to see the work and meet the artists. During the working period, lectures and dialog between artists will be encouraged. Presentations by each artist by way of slide talks video or films etc of work of their own and from their country will take place in the evenings. Slides, brief introductions of work and DVD films are all welcome. In addition during the second week of the workshop we will invite a few professional curators, critics and performers to enhance the dialog and exchange of influences. |
One evening will be saved for a dress-up
affair and other kinds of performances will be shown. Every evening an open bar will be provided with all manner of spirits and soft drinks. Artist must pay for their drinks. During the 13 working days artists are expected to work in and around the Pine Garden. There will be outings to the Taroki National Park and some of the beautiful sights of the Hualien area. Artists are free to make work in whatever way they find appropriate including collaborative work with other artists. The artists involved in this workshop include: painting, performance art, installations, mixed media, sculpture, film media, photography and poetry. |
